What is Astigmatism
Astigmatism results from an irregularly shaped cornea or lens. It’s a condition whereby the eye actually has more than one focus, resulting in distorted vision which is often described as ghost images. It results in blurred vision at distance and near and often leads to eyestrain and possible headaches. This irregular focus can be compensated for with glasses or contact lenses. Contact an optometrist or ophthalmologist for more information.
