Inturned Lower Eyelid
An inturned lower eyelid is called an entropian. The lower lid rolls inward, holding the eyelashes against the eye and resulting in pain, abrasion and possible infection. This condition is caused by a defect in the eyelid muscle control that can be present at birth or begin later in life. The most common cause is advanced age. To correct the lid position problem, a doctor can perform minor surgery. Contact an optometrist or ophthalmologist in your area for more information.
